15-Day Mechanical Guarantee and Return Policy

All cameras sold by Pronghorn Photographic are vintage and pre-owned equipment. Due to the age and nature of these products, cosmetic wear, minor imperfections, and normal signs of use are expected and are not considered defects.

We offer a 15-Day Money-Back Mechanical Guarantee under the terms below.

What is Covered?

If your camera has a mechanical malfunction that prevents normal operation under standard use, you may request a return or refund within 15 calendar days of delivery.

Mechanical faults include failures of core camera functions such as:

  • Shutter operation

  • Film advance or rewind mechanisms

  • Aperture or focus mechanisms

  • Light meter (if specifically listed as working in the product listing)

Coverage applies only to defects that were present at the time of sale.

What is NOT Covered

This guarantee does not cover issues resulting from:

  • Dropping, impact, water damage, sand, dirt, or environmental exposure

  • Improper handling, misuse, or user error

  • Attempted repair, disassembly, or modification by the customer or third parties

  • Normal wear, cosmetic condition, or aesthetic preferences

  • Light leaks, film choice, development issues, scanning issues, or user technique

  • Batteries, light seals, accessories, or consumable items unless specifically stated

  • Any issue reported after the 15-day period

Any camera showing signs of physical damage, tampering, or misuse will be deemed ineligible for return or refund.

Return Requirements

To qualify for a refund:

  1. You must contact us within 15 days of delivery.

  2. The item must be returned in the same condition it was received.

  3. The camera must include all originally shipped accessories.

  4. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer unless the claim is approved as a verified mechanical fault.

  5. We reserve the right to inspect and test all returned items before issuing a refund.

Refund Decision

If a mechanical fault is verified, we will provide either:

  • A full refund, or

  • A replacement or store credit at our discretion.

If no qualifying mechanical fault is found, the return may be denied and the item returned to the customer at their expense.

Limitation of Liability

Vintage cameras are sold as collectible and hobbyist equipment. By purchasing, you acknowledge that film photography involves variables outside our control. Our liability is limited solely to the purchase price of the item.
